April 2010 BP oil spill near LA.
My heart breaks as I hear and read more and more about the worst oil spill in history near the New Orleans coast in Louisina. Not only does it break for the 11 families that lost a loved one that died on the ship but for the countless animals that will be affects as well as the business owners who make an intire lively -hood on the fishing, shrimping, oystering, and restraunts. What a disater. They are all in my prayers.
G and Paige, you both love to pray for others and get genuinly concerned when you hear of disasters that happen around the globe. For a week, G prayed for the little children that lost a daddy in the West Virginia coal mining accident that happened at the beginning of April. The Lord has MUCH to say about His little Children and HEARS every prayer spoken by such. You children are a blessing to so many.

Friday's Fun Factor
(New at the whole blogging thing and first off-can't figure out how to roatate the picture...oh well, you will just have to turn your head sideways.)
"Family Fun night", which you kids ADORE, well at least G and Paige, (sorry babies, your family nights are still a ways off :) happen most every Friday night and are filled with takeout, movies, candy, and most often slumber parties! Now that we live north of town, we have a bon-fire pit and the kids love to love to LOVE to have bon-fires allll...summer....long. It being April, it is still a bit cold out, yet all the snow is gone, so G decides it is time for our first bon-fire of the season which would not be complete without smores. Well the day started off pretty warm, but by the end it was windy and nasty! That did not stop the clan from the bon-fire. G is ridiculously ready for summer and knew this would kick it off even faster.
We had our night filled with wind, smores, spits of rain here and there and of course the wonderful after-glow of leaving our clothes smell of bon-fire ash. Pizza=$12.50, Smores= $6.19, wood=$3.50, fire started=$1.19, rain=free, wind=free, family fun?=PRICELESS. Wouldn't trade it for anything. The kids love it, and so do we.

Jersey's, summer clothes, and basketball fun
As I went and pulled out G's "summer" clothes yesterday at the shop, most of the clothes pulled Basketball jersey and basketball shorts. I collected all the shorts, jersys, Tshirts, and more and put them in a Grocery bag in the back of the car. G, sitting in his back seat carseat, asked "mommy, what are those?" and as I explained to him THEY were his summer clothes, he got soooo excited. G Always gets excited over new things, wether THEY are "new" or "used new", THEY are always new to him:) It's pretty cute.
Anyways, on the way home, I had to stop off at the post office to mail some bills and while in the post office (keep in mind, it was probably a minute or less), he proceeded to get some clothes out of the bag and put them on. By the time I got back in the car he had 3 shirts on! 2 were jersy's.
Duke, mommy's absolute favorite college basketball team ever, they just won the 2010 NCAA tournament just a week prior, and of course, I was excited about that. I told him, after THEY won, I would buy him a Duke jersey. So, after putting the jersey on, he said "look mom, you got me my Duke Jersey!"
After we all got home, he was SOOOO excited to play some basketball, yet it was snowing outside, so we pretend played in the living room with Paige's Stuffed baby girraffe. All three of us. The babies watched while THEY drank there mid-morning bottles.
G tried on every jersey in that bag that morning and kept calling himself "jersey" pretend when playing basketball. What fun:)
Seems simple, but worth the report. He wore that jersey (along with the other 3 shirts Underneath) for the rest of the day .... and today!
I would have Loved to have posted a picture I took of him in his jersey's, but unfortunetly I somehow deleted all my pictures off the camera from the last few weeks including Easter: (
I love you guys.
